Educational Center for Fiber Optic Technologies
Vinkovci Technology Park Ltd., based on the Decision on the Establishment of the Educational Center for Fiber Optic Technologies by the City of Vinkovci, established the Educational Center for Fiber Optic Technologies – ECTS at Vatrogasna 5, 32100 Vinkovci.
The goal of ECTS is to achieve high-quality standards in performing work related to fiber optic strands at all levels and projects.
Within the framework of ECST’s operations, Vinkovci Technology Park Ltd. conducts training sessions that educate participants on the construction of fiber optic networks and lines, splicing fiber optic strands, diagnostics on fiber optic networks and lines, and the design of fiber optic networks and lines. ECST’s services are aimed at educating and training participants, both men and women, who have little or no prior experience working with fiber optic cables. In this way, all training participants can acquire new specialized knowledge and skills that are essential in today’s increasingly demanding labor market.
The very purpose of the training is to simulate a real optical network on a smaller scale under simulated and real conditions, thereby increasing quality standards in all future projects related to optical infrastructure.
To create the necessary conditions for the operation of the Educational Center for Fiber Optic Technologies, Vinkovci Technology Park Ltd. has equipped both an indoor and an outdoor laboratory.
The indoor and outdoor laboratories are interconnected by a 96-strand fiber optic cable installed in appropriate protective infrastructure. The indoor and outdoor laboratories aim to simulate real optical networks on a small scale, both indoors and outdoors, under simulated and real conditions.
By equipping the indoor and outdoor laboratories, conditions have been created within the Educational Center for Fiber Optic Technologies for conducting training and practice for participants in installing fiber optics, FTTH networks, and home installations for business and residential buildings, splicing fiber optic strands in fiber optic connectors, cabinets, ODFs, fiber optic boxes, measurements on fiber optics, FTTH networks and installations, fault diagnostics, and maintenance of fiber optic networks.
